The 'Cognitive Body Workshop' instructed by Dave Reese, Physical Therapist presents:
A Neurophysiological Approach to Achieving Structural Balance and Improved Motor Control in the Lower Body

This intensive 6-hour workshop combines your strong knowledge of anatomy with neurophysiological principles in the design and implementation of exercise programs used in Sports Fitness, Yoga, Pilates, Amateur/Professional Dance and other specialized movement trainings: i.e Feldenkrais, and Alexander Methods.
The installment (the second in a three-part series) will help to identify imbalances in the the hip and low back. Information presented will assist in designing safe and effective exercise and treatment programs for the lumbar, pelvis, and hip regions of the body.
Appropriate for attendees such as: Pilates Instructors, PTs, OTs, Acupuncturists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Rolfers, Massage Therapists, and serious students of the body, all with a strong background in anatomy.
Participants will find this invaluable and be able to apply information and techniques from the day immediately to their professional work, in their related fields. All are welcome!

This workshop earns 6 Continuing Education Credits with the National Pilates Certification Program (6 CEC’s with NPCP), required by the Pilates Method Alliance.
This not a course on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)!

Meet Your Workshop Instructor
Dave Reese P.T. is Clinical Director of Falmouth Physical Therapy in Falmouth, Maine and was trained in mat Pilates instruction via Power Pilates.
A practicing clinician for forty years, he has incorporated a combination of Pilates, yoga, martial arts, and movement work into his practice. A yoga instructor since 1993 and a serious Pilates student since 2002, he is extremely excited to be part of the team at Springboard.
