In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll learn how Pilates can help improve posture, strengthen your core, relieve low back discomfort, elevate your mood, and create greater balance in both your body and your life.
We’ll cover the history and fundamentals of Pilates (originally called Contrology), introduce a few basic exercises on both the Mat and the Reformer, and explore how Pilates can support your personal health and wellness goals for the year ahead.
No experience is necessary. This workshop is specifically designed for people who are completely new to Pilates, and there will be plenty of time for questions.

Meet Your Workshop Instructor
Meredith Coffin, Springboard’s owner, sees the undeniable connection between the way we do Pilates and the way we move through the world.
Meredith began her Pilates education in 2007 and has been a Teacher Trainer for The Pilates Center of Boulder (TPC) since 2014. Mentoring teachers is one of the great joys of Meredith’s life. It allows her to nurture and care for the next generation of traditional Pilates teachers right here in Portland, Maine.
